Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Looks great Chookpatch!

... Do you sell fertile eggs? They just look so good.

They only steady layers I have is my Sussex and the quails (though my turkeys have been frisky lately).

Gosh, I've been gone from this site forever, it seems like whenever I catch up reading all the posts I've got to run off for another emergency (feeding puppies is an emergency, btw).

Congratulations on the Faverolle egg Luke!!!! I can remember when you got the pullets so it was a long time coming.

I'll enter the hen competition tomorrow, if I have the time.

I love to read up on how everyone is going, even when I can't find the time to respond.

Chook - I just love the ducks, what a beautiful breed! Amazing egg plate!!

Colourful - Luke only wishes he had favorelles lol. They and the egg were mine :). Welcome back!

Chook - I think everyone is in agreement here; we are all jealous of the amazing array of egg colours you have. I'd LOVE to have just one of those green egg layers in my flock.
Those colours are a testament to your hard work.

Apps - Congrats on the Fav egg. I'm still waiting for mine, but I can't really complain. My Araucana and Orpington mix started laying last Saturday. I've got 4 pale green eggs from the Ara so far.

I'd love to get another Ara who lays blue eggs.

Pinky - bummer about the Marans being a boy but

it isn't so.

And awwww baby Minorcas. So cute!

Making progress here.
I picked up 5 dozen eggs from Jim Lewis from Ferndale.
Frizzles, Silkies, Pekins, Light & Speckled Sussex and White Leghorn.
Also a Pekin rooster and a Leghorn rooster, so I now have breeding trios of WL and Pekins.

I will soon need to start building more runs- my 15 will no longer be enough!\\\

Thanks guys, I have worked hard to get them like that but I finally feel like I am getting there this season.... And yes I will have eggs or birds later in the season :) I just love my call ducks apps, they are delightful to watch and they have such hilarious personalities, especially Peaches, he is so friendly and funny... This is their first season Luke, so I am hoping they breed, the boys are starting to get bossy towards each other so I was thinking that was a good sign...
My first frizzle has hatched, She is a gorgeous little silky, I can't wait till she fluffs out!
