Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Soooo some of you may have seen me recently whinging that i can't have chicks? Well today i got two! Arghhh so excited! The lady i got them off said she could sex them by their colouring i got a Pekin and a Wheaten French Marans :weee I'm so happy! Here's hoping they're both pullets! She said she'd swop them if any are roos..
Depending on the age of your pekin it could be a boy. Watch the comb over the next few weeks. If it gets a lot bigger quicker could be a rooster.

Lovely Rexy. We feed all the wild birds too. We have black cockatoos ,galahs, rainbow lorikeets, finches, pale headed rosellas and king parrots as well as the magpies. Never had a problem with diseases.

We have lots of visitors, and because we are on the river we also see a lot of water life. Last summer we even had a seal and her cub laying along side the main coop. By far the most annoying visitors are the sparrows. They do bring in lice.

Wow fancy a seal would be so cool to see. I am way to far away from the ocean here to see any thing like that. We had these huge turtles wandering around our yard in the 11 floods. I am not sure how they had it up this far as it is a 10 metres drop to the water below off the back of our block.

Wow, glad I made a huge coffee lol 682 pages lol
Hey guys, I am new here, I live in Central West NSW, about an hour from Dubbo :) Yes you may laugh, a tiny little town called "Cumnock"
I actually get asked quite alot if it actually exists lol I hope so, or it explains why I don't get mail sometimes lol
No ocean or seals out here. Heaps of turtles, Kingies, galahs, cockatoo's, grass parrots, plus heaps more. All come in for a feed with my chooks and no problems at all :)
Although, Alfie, my rooster hates the magpies, he chases them out of the yard if my great dane don't get to them first :)
Awesome to see so many Aussies on here :)

Hey Satay, the horses didn't think so, I've never seen 3 thoroughbred 's try to hide behind each other. The dog yelped and hid under the shed. Just guessing, but I reckon none of them had seen a seal before.
