How is everyone in the fire areas?
We got a load of your smoke yesterday in Nth West Sydney.
If you looked outside it looked like the end of the world and the sun went red through the black clouds of smoke.
We couldn't even see the sky at all until that southerly came and pushed it off on to someone else.
Just a lot of ash and burned leaves remain everywhere and still a little smokey here.
It was horrible to see that people lost homes, animals and belongings.
Our hearts go out to you all.

No thank god, I am out between Orange and Dubbo, but we have had a couple of spot fires out this way today.
Adding to the smoke.
Lithgow is about 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive away

That's great your not near there. I have two brother-inlaws that live at Lithgow and they were still in the thick of it last I heard. Hopefully the drop in wind and temperature has helped. I am sure we will hear if they need any help.
