Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Hey Sydney , have you considered using sand as a litter ? I put mine out on the grass , supervised from about 10 days. In this weather I would be giving them a little more time each day away from the lamp. How old are they now ? They should be ready to go out at around 6 weeks, for good. So long as they are feathered in. The lamp should be getting raised a little each week . You would be suprised how early they learn to dirt bath when they are with momma. Nice to have you back.

I never had to rub poo on my friends when we first met:oops: hahahaha, oh I crack my self up!!
I hope they become friends. Maple is so cute!!
Do you keep your chicks in with your rabbits or are they all together for a photo shoot?

I should hope not Luke. But then humans shake hands, and we all know where they've been.
The full size hens won't tolerate the rabbits. I've had wild rabbits get into one of the runs overnight and there were tufts of fluff everywhere in the morning.
Just for the photo shoot.

That would be a sight to see, hens chasing rabbits.
Our hens chase away any magpies that come near.

Yay Luke! Can't wait to see the babies...
I got this nice egg from one of my pullets, there should be quite a few new layers soon :)
