It's hard to be elegant when one is surrounded by animals. Thank you kindly Karen, did the girls travel well? The goats are looking half their size today. The shearer finally turned up. The girls are down swimming in the river, boom box blaring. Oh well what the hell, they're back at college on Monday, they might as well have some fun and make some noise.

Hey Lucas, Casey got her P's a couple of months ago and is now keen to learn how to float the horses. It's kinda strange to me that a p plater is not allowed to exceed 80 k, yet she is allowed to tow a float that weighs a ton and 2 horses that between them weigh a ton. Go figure!

haha. Yeah. Like as an L plater I can tow a caravan and drive with babies in the back ( that's human babies...not my chickens.lol. ).
Also, is Casey only allowed to go 80, even on her P's? I can go 90 on my L's?! Different ruling per state I suppose.

I have a total of 6 of your white Rocks, and 3 more of your Barred rocks.  Very few hens that I can identify though.
Thin shelled eggs often happen with young layers before their system settles down
(Rehearsals start again tonight - at last!)

sorry you didn't get many hens. I'm afraid I don't have any more to offer you. I do have one boy though lol.
I've been up and down. Booker went broody again and i noticed far too late that she wasn't eating properly and was very thin. Vet said it was egg periontitis which caused extreme weight loss. For a week i was feeding her via a tube directly into her crop as well as her medicine butin the end we lost her :,( both my babies :,( but at least I have some of their chicks. It's going to kill me to give away their last son but I have to keep the marans and would be too difficult to keep two roosters. Anyway.. The marans are doing well, big and pretty and actually much friendlier than rocks. Good egg color I think. I'll have to get new pics because I just put everything on my computer and the hard drive had died lol.
I'm afraid I just can't make it to Rehearsals but can come in to cast faces for masks whenever needed. Did Carol like the mock up of the angel of music?

Sorry about your old chooken. I should have plenty of their descendants in a few months if you need some hens, or I have BR hens available now if you want any.
I will buy some Maran eggs from you too after I get rid of my huge surplus of chooks. (about 150).
I don't think they need you at rehearsals yet. Has Paul B our Production Manager rang you recently?
Carole didn't mention the Angel to me, sorry.
