Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Gorgeous chick Sydney. The chicks should be ok to travel for a few hours I'd think. It's probably more the heat we have been having that you would have to make sure they have proper ventilation.

We were just talking about didgeridoos this morning. I dabbled a bit when I was younger but never really got any good at it. One of my friends as a teenager(who had the coolest pet dingo) was an exceptional didge player, but I don't have any footage for you. We have these amazing birds called lyrebirds in our local forests though, here is a link

Omg, your as smart as a whip. I've been sitting here wracking my brain trying to decipher that word.
Not in a million years would I have worked it out. I said to hubby, " do you know what a dig-war do is
Sounds like something from Mexico .

That is beyond words but Lyreragious. comes closest try that one on lol Very cool and thanks for sharing. You should have seen the reaction of my dog huh?!? Thx

Thank you very much for your help, I have been giving the chick water in a dropper but it won't take any food, I tried boiled egg mushed up. I have been cleaning its vent and not touching the dried up cord. I just feel bad for the poor little thing and I don't know how to euthanase something this small :(

Put a little sugar in the water if you don't have any electrolytes. I find that sometimes they will take a little raw egg. It will pass soon if it hasn't eaten , but you can go to the search bar at the top of the page and type in 'how to euthanise a chicken ' there are some helpful threads. Don't beat yourself up, you can't save them all, it's just the way of things. :hugs

I also forgot to mention that i still have the chick in th incubator, I have increased humidity but I'm not sure if I should now go and put it under the lamp??

If the sick one managed to absorb most of its cord yolk it can survive about 48hours on that. The important thing is to keep it hydrated. The sugary water will give it a little energy. Keeping it under heat is very important too.

Sick chick called Mauy.
