In my experience length of daylight is the most important factor in laying, although cold weather can play a part.
You can always bring a chicken into lay any ttime by increasing the amount of daylight by
using a light on a timer giving the hens 1 -2 extra hours of light in the MORNING>.

Tassie go back tomorrow. Yes she had a great time, tried the snails and the frogs legs ( brave girl ). The 24 hour flight has caught up with her though.
