Haha, hadn't seen that. That is apparently Maija the reindeer, she "joined the force" in 2010. Or then Artturi, who joined in 2012. They're mostly used in PR functions, mainly to serve as a reminder of the dangers of running into them in Lapland. You really have to stay awake when driving there, long roads with no lighting, and you see reindeer several times a day.

The name "Maija" was chosen, as police vans are often referred to as "Maija":s, or originally Musta Maija (~Black Mary), since they used to be black in the old days. Apparently the name Petteri Sinikuono (Rudolph the Bluenosed reindeer) was considered too.

Maybe you Ozzies should do the same with your kangaroos. Or a police koala.

With all this talk about pellets, it reminded me, if I want to incubate my eggs but also eat them what is best? Layer pellets or breeder pellets?

You could use either but i use a breeder pellet for my marans. I use the Laucke mIlls show bird breeder.
