I've had one snake on my property in the 2 years we've been there; was a monster of an eastern brown in the chook run. Thank goodness it didn't bite any of the girls. I just herded them into the coop, shut the door and he made a hasty retreat.
Seen plenty of possums, tawny frogmouths, the occasional kangaroo. Speaking of roos, on my way to work this morning I saw two men on the side of the road trying to help a huge eastern grey roo buck that I think was hit by a car. Poor guy, not sure if he made it or not.
