Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I'm new, I have two little chickens but I'm not sure what they are, I got them at 5 weeks old and I think they are araucana black hamburg crosses. My very first chickens and love cuddling them, very calm to hold, love being petted, chirp a lot and make funny cricket like sounds. Starting to black out all over body with green sheen to feathers. White feathers in wings when spread amongst black.

Thank you, that pic is from the day I got them, they have tripled in size in just the two weeks I have had them and they are almost all black now with only a little white arounds the ears and the odd white feather in the wings

Welcome Mondari! I am not from the funny little island, but people from the island said I could be here!!

Your chicks are cute. Not sure of breed. I have australorps and Jersey giants that are black and have a green sheen to them, but as chicks neither breed had that much white on them. Good luck and Welcome to Backyard Chickens!

Sad day here, we lost Viiru, one of our Alho's and the most productive layer of our flock, to some sort of predator. Veera, her sister, also went missing, but she returned home two hours later, intact.

.

Welcome

I'd say austrolorp with something ! But some recent pictures would help a lot.

I'm from Sydney. Have a variety of chickens and love to hatch them.

I even have an araucana cross that lays darker cream colour eggs then the Aussie ( austrolorp)

But she looks pure.
