Fancy, the commercial didn't really leave me wondering about anything, but I might have missed some references. The nuts and bolts for breakfast, is that supposed to have some deeper meaning since you keep mentioning it, I just took it as a general acknowledgement of Ozzies being "manly men".

On the subject of manly men, I once ate at a restaurant that had an interesting toilet. The seat was clear plastic with barbed wire inside it. They had three toilet paper holders on the wall. The first one said "Boys" and held a roll of toilet paper. The second one was labeled "Men", and held a roll of newspaper cut to size. The third one was for "Real men" and had P40 sandpaper on a roll

Actually there is probably more than one use for the term "nuts n bolts"

Eating as in manly. But I only ever use it as description of internal working of something ie the nuts and bolts of the plan

Lol, nuts & bolts refers to ' nutri grain '. It's a breakfast cereal eaten by ' iron men ' .
