They are gorgeous! My egg customers were very confused when the easter eggers & olive eggers started laying. I told them there were colored eggs in the carton, and most I explained how/why they are colored, but some still do not understand. Guess they are eating them though. I can't wait until the French Marans start laying

I am thinking of buying a white egg layer this coming spring. I know, sounds funny, but we have no white eggs and I just like to look at all the colors in the carton,

Vehve, I am all over that tree idea. If I make a fortune, I'll get some to you.

One thing that does surprise me is that people buy those fake trees that are solid blue, or solid white. REALLY! How many blue trees are in your back yard? Tacky.

I have to say, the pink Christmas trees are the ones that throw me off the most. White isn't that much of a stretch, one of these covered in snow would pretty much be white:



Yeah, the marans eggs are really nice, our Wilma finally started laying after almost a two month break.


Still need a blue layer though.

And we are almost getting snow today. It's not cold enough to stick, but at least it's coming down as the white stuff instead of rain.

My 8 chicks are now 11 weeks old, 4 hens and 4 roosters. I have the inevitable task of removing some of the roosters soon, this bloke has started attacking me and the hens so he's made the list, sadly for him

We cleaned out the run and did some roost modifications, so the chickens were driven out in the snow. They kept trying to find a dry spot though.






Hopefully they'll like their new roosts, they got a bit of a swing too.

It's my first attempt at a chicken coop.

The white tree pic was taken off of the internet, I prefer indigenous needled trees in my yard. But those do look nice.
