Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Probably not the right place to post it (I'm really sorry if it is), but I really need...uh, I mean...WANT. Two Araucana females, preferably between 4-6 weeks of age, to integrate with my flock. Well, they don't have to be Araucana - just they have to lay blue or green eggs >.> I've been looking around, but no one has any locally in Melbourne, and the age range is important to me. My little flock is nicely integrated and I don't want to struggle with new babies or with big adults who'll bully the little ones. Anyone have any advice?

Females at the age will be harder to find as the only way you can sex them at that age is through vent sexing. Not a lot do it. Maybe ash would know someone. @Ashburnham

I breed a lot of Araucanas and I am in West Gippsland. Impossible even for an expert to sex them at that age however.
. Currently I have Aras for sale at one year old and more at one week old.

Was supposed to rain today but I dont see that happening...

off topic... chicken poop. Ive been putting it in compost bin but now thats full I've just been throwing it on the garden. Then I read that its a big no no.... so what does one do with excess poop if you cant really wait a year to use it?
If I were you, I'd go with a hot composting box. That way you would kill most unwanted stuff in there pretty quickly, with your climate I think you could turn a load into raw compost in a couple of weeks. There's a link in my signature to a thread about hot composting.

omg just had the scariest experience ever. Our house got hit by lightening. The whole of the inside roof of the house light up like a candle. I screamed and son came out both of our hair was standing on ends and we were both shaking... I couldn't hear for about 30 seconds. We are both fine. That was a bit to close for comfort. Neighbour rang said did that hit your house. I said yep.. He said he could see it from his place two propertys up the hill. Enjoying the rain but the lightening can rack off
