Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

omg just had the scariest experience ever. Our house got hit by lightening. The whole of the inside roof of the house light up like a candle. I screamed and son came out both of our hair was standing on ends and we were both shaking... I couldn't hear for about 30 seconds. We are both fine. That was a bit to close for comfort. Neighbour rang said did that hit your house. I said yep.. He said he could see it from his place two propertys up the hill. Enjoying the rain but the lightening can rack off

Glad you are okay!! That is some scarey sheet when that happens!

Our neighbour across the road had a tree in his front yard hit years ago, bang was one of the loudest things I've ever heard. It hit the tree, travelled (and cracked) his driveway and came up in the kitchen sending shards of tiles into the ceiling. I thought it must have been an exaggeration but then my BIL quoted to fix the tiles and he confirmed the story. You guys were very lucky!!!

My godfathers house was hit a while ago too. Cracked a supporting wall in a concrete brick house. The insurance inspector said that he believes that it was lightning that caused it, but because there were no visible burn marks, they would not pay.

Do any of you raise rabbits too? DH caved last night after over a year of negotiations, and he got 2 rabbits from his friend. I raised meat rabbits when I was a kid. These are super cute. I will get some pics sometime this week. Off to work. Have a good day!

It's illegal to have rabbits as pets in Queensland. https://www.daff.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/57780/IPA-Keeping-Rabbits-As-Pets-PA15.pdf
I'm not sure about the other states. Looking forward to your pics. We don't see many of those here.

So.....integration has gone very well, I've got them all together now and everyone plays nice except cranky pants winry who I saw give pepper a peck yesterday. The others have had a peck at penny on and off but left pepper alone. Winry is mean to everyone sigh.

My last hurdle though is getting them all to sleep together. While they will wander with them during the day they won't let them roost with them at night. Every night penny tries to join the with pepper following behind and every night they chase her off and she ends up back in their little box. Getting a little frustrating and as their sleeping quarters are pretty small I worry about forcing the issue as they would have nowhere to escape to if it turned nasty. Do you think it's going to sort itself out or am I going to have to step in somehow?
