Absolutely the wrong time of year to try posting eggs.  They will just cook in the Aus Post vans.
I did try sending 3 dozen Ara eggs to NSW with a so called pet courier - 3 out of 36 hatched.

Oh wow. Mine travelled well just with Aust post.

I know summer is bad. Just wanted to ask

What do you think of this?


Faint barring is starting to show on several of my chicks. I'm happy with them and as I'm not breeding Ara's I have the luxury of enjoying pretty chooks without worrying about genetics, but I'm curious how such faint barring could turn up. This one has the most obvious barring and I have one with a bit of white lacing starting to show. Would the barring be very faint because of crossbreeding several generations back? If you click on the photo is might show a bit better.
