Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Found my Isa Brown, Bumblebee under the house again with the dog - having a cuddle. Crawled in and found this.

Naughty girl.

Husband: That explains why the dog is spending so much time under the house....he's gone broody.

XD

You should have moved to grower crumble at like 8 weeks, you can get layer mash, they might prefer that, or try crushing or fermenting the layer pellets. I've never known a healthy chook not to eat what ever they can see

Hey folks.

I'm sending on three of the chickens I raised for a friend this weekend, and may have found someone to take my white silkie, so soon the run will get nicely rebalanced to have the number of birds it should.

Have been reading, but not posting, as I lost a cherished pet this week (after 18 years of friendship), and I'm taking it pretty hard.

Lol has she been sitting on them or just laying there
Chickens are so funny sometines

Sitting on them during the day (I couldn't reach her easily and it took me a couple of days to talk myself into climbing under the house. I may love spiders but I really don't want them in my hair, k?) and miraculously re-appearing at night to roost on the laundry shed door (refusing to go into the coop).

When I approached her, she and the dog both growled at me. Then he (the dog) immediately got this look like, "OMG I'm sorry don't kill me."

I was actually trying to find her because her Bumblefoot is getting worse and I'm making a chicken diaper for her (and a pattern because I really couldn't find a good, comprehensive pattern anywhere) so I can bring her in and keep an eye on her foot for several days.

I have chicks mixed with the flock. Hence the chick feed. They'll eat layer pellets when thats all thats available.
