On a brighter note the little guy that we saved from the abattoir 5 months ago is off to his new home in QLD on the weekend. He has come a long way in a short time and is a very quick learner.

Howdy. Just wondering if anyone can give advice on how to stop my chicken laying on the roost. She's new to the egg laying game and she started off laying in the nest but now I just find broken ones.

I'd place a bed of hay under the roost. At least then you will cushion the fall. Make the nest boxes very appealing , with soft hay and some ' dummy eggs ' or golf balls. She will eventually get the gist of the idea.

Nor do I. lol I did have to put up with soccer for a few years when my son played it in brissy. Not sure i understood the game properly though.
