I'd say a little bit longer but not far off. Couple of weeks maybe? My girls are about the same color and have just turned 20 weeks. No eggs yet though.

Thanks both of you, I was thinking around 2 more weeks but not having had them at this stage before I wasn't sure but thought the others were a bit longer away and you've both confirmed this for me, thank you.

I don't know the exact age of these but think they're around 18 or 19 weeks old.

nu2, seems about right. To be fair though, I kept looking at our Alho's and saying "Any day now" for about 6 weeks

Phew what a morning!! First thing that happened, let the dogs out to wee, hear a chooky distress call and Domino barking.
One of my chickens was out and Domino chased her down and grabbed her.

Me in my pajamas burst outside screaming and yelling at Domino to "leave it" He drops her then I chase him off and lock him in Lou's paddock.
Scoop her up and put her in a cage and locked her in the garage. She's still alive with a nasty gash on her bum, but pretty sure she's going to make it (if anyone could give me some advice on how to treat her wound, I'd appreciate it).
I head inside to finish getting ready for work, come out and treat her wounds and fed her my breakfast of porridge and honey which she ate happily. Feed Lou and the boys, head to the car and on the way to the station. No time for breakfast for me!

Around the corner from home is drama number 2. Now it's not unusual for galahs to be on the road and fly off when a car comes near. Well not the one I saw. I pull over and hop out to see if he's ok. Nope, poor little guy has a broken wing, possibly from being hit by a car. Bloody hell!!! Not having anything in the car to put him in but an old rag, I try my best to avoid being bitten and pick him up in the cloth and wrap him up. Boy did he scream bloody murder!!
No vets open at 7 in the morning so my lovely friend has him at the moment and Wildlife Warriors will go and pick him up.

I was a bit late getting to work today, but hey, what's a Friday morning without some drama!

Add: Let it be known it was not I who hit the galah, I found him on the road in his state already, so guessing he may have been hit by a car maybe half and hour or so before I found him.

Oh boy! What a morning for you. I've been lucky I guess, my dog has grabbed chooks and killed some but never broken the skin so I can't really help with that sorry. I would say like any wound management keep it clean and dry, if it's gaping then use steristrips or get it stitched? Cover only if necessary.
I'm sure the galah will be ok, not many people stop sadly so even if it's wing can't be fixed at least it's not on the side of the road dying in pain.

Thanks Christie. I am taking her around to a friend's place this afternoon to see if we can glue her up. She has experience with wounds like this, but if anyone else has any tips, tricks or advice, I'd love to hear it
