That is one huge egg! How much did it weigh?

Before I turn to my usual channels, does anyone here by chance want a dark grey silkie cockerel? He seems to be non aggressive, and I can get photos. He would be free for people here, just not if I put him on gumtree (just trying to avoid any unpleasantness with baiting, etc). He's a fluffy boof head.

Yeah you just don't know do you. There is often an add on gumtree for excess rabbits happily taken to be given a new home running free on acreage. Only trouble is the property they are going to to live happily ever after is situated at dapto which home to the dapto dogs greyhound track. Has always made me just a little suspicious how happily or long they live

Lol. Wyandotte cross Aussie. Weights about 4.7 I wanted Jersey Giants lol well she is about as close as I'll get !

OMG & that is her normal egg size! I think 75 is huge & put the rare one that big aside for brekkie because it's too big for recipes.

About 95g that one the ones on either side are 75-ish.

I know it is only Day 4...but I was curious and impatient so I candled a couple eggs! I SEE BABIES! Well...ok...I see the octopus shapes of a baby and blood vessels...BUT STILL!
I didn't look at all of them, just a few.
Tried to get some photos but my phone camera is soooo not up to the task and my make-shift candler doesn't help. It just looks like a darkish smudge in the photos...
I can't wait until Day 7....and 10...AND 21!!

My chooks have had extra light with a timer in the mornings for 3 weeks now,
Egg production is still good with nearly 2 dozen eggs a day.
