Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

My hubby ,brother and brother inlaw and my mum are all aries. Where we live out here. The 3 propertys above us as to speak all three women are aries and across the other side of the street 2 out of 4 are aries. I seem to attact other aries. I do have this one friend while not an aries has a birthday in March so she can be an honorary Aries lol

LOL and her dad was an Aries ! She apparently is born under the Aries moon too lol

Ok I am officially horriffied that Americans post day old chicks in the mail and it seems ok to lose chicks ! And that they whine when post "messes" up and it's a day or two late and but its still ok that 14/26 survive.

Talk about cruelty to animals

Outrageous.

It does seem the norm over there. I would never do it if it was offered here.

Yep, I'm with you guys, it's always bothered me. There is a lovely couple here in tas that have started a business transporting small animals on the spirit. Their operation is clean and professional but I still wouldn't send chicks. I did however send 2 cockerels to Vic and they arrived safe and well.

Count me in on this one as feeling the same!

I have lost count of how many posts I have read where people are waiting (im)patiently for the Post Office to call and advise their babies have arrived and then follow up those posts with "yippee, they are finally here and we only lost [insert however many]".

I wondered, if they needed chicks and do not have a broody, why not use an incubator but then I realised that the chicks being 'posted' are vent sexed and believe that replacements are guaranteed for those that did not make it or those that did not turn out to be the gender you ordered.

I wouldn't order chicks via the post either.

Nor would I.  Just seems a bit heartless to me. "14/26 lived", I feel terribly for the ones that didn't make it. Such small sweet babies to have to go through that.

All the girls on the aussie thread i could see being the ones holding pickets protesting outside hatcheries if it was the norm to do that here. Can you just imagine how aussie post would treat live animals when they can't even get standard parcels right most of the time.

Yeah I only get chicks from within driving distance, I get that some never make it but putting them in a box and shipping across the country just seems horrifying!! I can't imagine what their poor little feather brains must go through in those last hours :(
