My poor girls are struggling to keep dry today, it's crazy!
But exciting news, we had kittens born lastnight!
So after bunnies, puppies and baby chicks I now give you kittens!

1 and 2 arrived within moments of each other at about 1030pm Chloe had no idea what to do as they were both still attached to her so every time she moved they dragged behind her.

I left her for a bit and when I came back number 3 had arrived. I was just thinking I hope that's it when I see

Number 5 arrived maybe 15 minutes after 4, I could still see one moving in her belly though so I knew that wasn't it,

I actually got a video of number 6's birth but I can't upload from my phone so here's a photo instead

All up there was about 2 hours between 1 and 6
This morning before the kids got up I went in and changed her bed, even the offer of food couldn't keep her from her babies long

Very proud of my girl, she's getting fixed as soon as they are weaned so this never happens again.
So... Anyone want a kitten..

Me too, that's why our feathered pets are so highly regarded in our house, they are cat and dog substitutes because they don't give me asthma attacks .

Yeah as im getting older my reactions are getting worse, I keep an antihistamine handy incase I start getting itchy eyes, never had an issue as a kid

Just heard from Kspot she is stuck in the city.. Her area has been hit bad... Keep your fingers crossed for her and Cwrite and Teila that they are all ok in this weather.

I am safe but water coming in the front and back doors again. One of my colleagues can't get home to Burpengary, freeway flooded .... Another stuck in the city, bus station flooded

It is just awful!

Luckily the chickens are high and dry now for the night but the whole back and front gardens are completely under water including the run; about 5cms deep.

It was strange when the rain cleared for about 5mins it was eerily quiet but it is back now.
