Yes I have noticed sheep startle easily but to see a ram the size of Tyson run and hide with mum now that is funny. I heard one of my pekins going off one day so I raced around to see what was wrong.. She was telling off her shadow Spent a good five minutes telling off this chicken for being to close to her, was so funny.
Max was 12 here today according to the weather app, currently 8, not too bad in the sun but that wind was awful, took it down at least 10 degrees. I prefer the cold but this is not Qld weather.
I found a chook dead in the yard tonight when doing head count. it was Sybil, she did have a raw patch so possibly a dog , or the cold and my dog or the cat saw it as a free meal, I don't knowive been worried about her for a while so I guess it's a blessing in disguise. I'll have to keep her last egg and blow it out I think.
Speaking of eggs this was my basket today.
Gosh those araucanas are noisy about it!! I swear one of them was going 2 hours :O hope the neighbours don't mind, might have to give them a few blue eggs to make up for it

that is so true appps. We got to a total of 12c yesterday but with the wind chill factor of 4c. It was bitterly cold yesterday. I can stand the cold most of the time just but when you add howling westerly winds to the mix...I'm not a fanFor the qld girls. yesterday morning at 9.30am the temp in Toowoomba was 0.9c with the wind chill factor of -5c.. No wonder we all call that town hell on earth
