Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Don't know how effective this would be, but might be worth a try.

I've got mine out today in their little run, never thought to worry about snakes. Haven't seen any around yet.
I put a kitty litter tray full of white sand in with them. Thought they would enjoy scratching and dust bathing in it. Didn't add the DE. But instead they ate it!!! Is this normal chick behaviour? Hope they don't get sick from it . Have since removed it.

Awwwwwww! How cute Ash!

Haha appps it would make sense the way u were assuming. Yes i always try to use a mask when using the lime just in my bigish sheds it was really the only practical option and it has worked well for me :)

Sorry to hear about the chicks satay :-(

Okay so after a bit of tweaking my incubator has stabilised at 37.8 for the last few hours Will that be okay or should I try and bring it down to 37.5 Bit nervous ill stuff it up again trying though.

Also a question about turning. The incubator has an automatic turner in that it basically rocks to one side every 2 hours. Is that going to be enough or do you guys actually turn them manually as well?

Just let the turner do the work appps. I have done everything against what I would normally do for hatch this time as I have had so many hatch at different times. I left the turner going til I saw one pip took it out and let if hatch then put it back in. Never changed humidity and all has gone well so far. My last lot will go into lockdown tomorrow.
