I have a Marans rooster with 3 Araucana hens at the moment, trying to produce Dark olive egg layers.
The next generation will start laying in December so will be interesting to see the egg colour.

So is that the F1 or F2 you are up to? Im guessing its the F2 about to lay?

Would be cool collectiong eggs when you get up to the rainbow generation!

Just went on to the home page with latest posts and the spam is back! Grrr... have clicked on one and flagged it like the moderators recommended. Didn't even kno it was spam until yesterday arvo. Never seen anything like it before. We did have our email Addy flooded with hundreds of emails trying to sell us viagra, etc. When we complained to telstra they wanted us to sign a contract for 2 yrs to pay an extra $20 a month to get rid of it! We refused and asked to be given a case manager and suddenly, surprise, surprise the spam disappeared!

We have a pip! Keep fingers crossed for me it hatches ok and the second one (with the worst air cell) isn't far behind!bb(because now it's too late to fix I'm worrying I've got the other one not upright enough and maybe it's pipping on the underside)

Well i just candled my second lot with much more luck! 16 eggs plus my fake one lol. One was infertile (accidentally gave it back to her! Will it explode?) One possible quitter but wasnt obvious so gave it back to her for now. Any usual time period that theyll explode if left there? Will have to check again sometime soonish, thinking in another week if thats not too long.

Excited to try my other lot again now i have a torch that works! But will give her a couple days so as not to distress her.

Yay! How exciting :-D the eggs in the second lot are probably 2 days different in time which is a tad worrying (since i didnt move her straight away and she kept stealing more!)
