Good morning Friends
RodneyRooster I am pleased the school transition went well. Your little ones are adorable and I love the action shot; well done.
ChristieB those bubs are gorgeous.
Ashburnham those little ones are definitely growing up fast but they are still cute as!
Tee hee appps, I enjoyed the story about your daughter and your motherly advice
LanaDucky your little one is also a cutie! Nice egg.
I had no idea who won the cup until after I finished work when I heard a replay on ABC Radio … satay I heard Big Orange was out the front there for a short while
I got a good chuckle from Michelle’s speech and agree that it is a wonderful story.
However, this morning I came across a very disturbing video on Facebook posted by a friend. I will not share because it is quite graphic and involves the killing of horses but basically while the successful racers are treated like Kings, the not so successful ones in the video are sent off to the knackers destroyed in a way that can only be described as disgusting animal cruelty.
I know nothing about keeping horses, racing horses etc but would this be the norm? From what I understand and reading Fancy’s posts, ex race horses are given the opportunity to go out to new homes?
Surely those stables that treat their horses like Kings and spend so much time, money and love on them would not be sending the unwanted ones off to such demise?
I understand, like chickens, there is a need to cull but in such circumstances and such beautiful horses?
