Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Hiya. She finished 4th overall at nationals and had placing sat champs, but unfortunately Jack has been retired , under veterinary advice. It has been a bit of a shock for her but she has kept herself busy with the youngsters and of course the foal. Fencing today and it's quite warm , but hotter tomorrow. Bring on Autumn
Sorry to hear of your losses, I've had a few this month also. Nice to have you back. :)

Oh sorry to hear you have lost some too. That little tyke bouncing around will keep her very entertained and busy but sad that Jack had to be retired.

Oh my but 4th at Nationals is fantastic result. The youngsters will do just as great a jack it's the fantastic mum and trainer

Hi Sam! Good to see you again!

Hey Fancy, how's the weather too? My nephew headed off today down to visit your beautiful island on his honeymoon :)

Thanks Apps. Nice to be able to get back to say hi. Y'all like a family here. It's been months and such a lovely warm welcome back.

How's the photography? Still out and about snapping those lovely pics?

I did notice that there are some great shots in the last few pages

I added an ovation and didn't add any words.   !!   The site wouldn't let me alter it.

Onion butt ??? ( awful )   .... Your little Pekin is gorgeous - such a pretty pink.   And that mountain of tail feathers is beautiful.

I WANT ONE !!    ;)  .... but then I want a few other breeds too ??

Cheers.

I agree - beautiful.

I've been looking for one too. But now my pen is full of d'uccles though.

Yep still snapping LOL Had my nephews wedding on the weekend and lucky me got to do the photos. Was lovely cause I got to be part of his day from start to finish but also meant I barely got to sit down all day let alone be a guest. Was a very very long day!

Here are a couple of my favourites without putting their faces online LOL

There was a rock shaped like a loveheart on the path. :)

Not sure if you were on when we had out big gum trees chopped down from our back yard? Well the cake stand is what is left of them :) My nephew built it.

Sorry to butt in but - Those photos are stunning. Another talented artist. I don't know how to take photos but the end result seems to have it all. Are they real butterflies? And who designed/made that dress? And the cake stand is wonderful and effective.

Yep they are real. They had a butterfly release ceremony.

The dress was from somewhere in Sydney but I shant recommend it as after paying a fortune for alterations they had to take it to somebody else a couple of days before to have it altered properly.

Good morning folks

Sorry to hear you did not get the breeze/wind. While the temps are still high, the moving air definitely improves the mugginess.

Fizzybelle the world needs more Frizzle Pekins!! Love the butt pic! I have shared this one before but this is my favourite butt pic:

I do enjoy the chicken-math .. I am allowed 6 chickens but I have 6 bantams so, using the 2:1 ratio, I can have 6 more! Lol

Fancy, that picture of the little guy frolicking is BEAUTIFUL!

Potato chip I have 3 x feathered feet and 1 x feathered outer toe and while they do get a bit dirty sometimes, in 3 years I have only ever had one problem and that was when Blondie broke a foot feather and developed a limp. I was contemplating pulling it out when it fell out all by itself. Other than that, no problems with prickles etc.

Ooops Sam, bad doggy!

So, we had our very first confirmed Hawk sighting on the weekend. I thought I had seen one once before but was not positive. I am positive on this one though.

The gals were in the garden, supervised of course, when some smaller birds in the trees raised the alarm, the girls bolted for the protection of the fence and tree and yep, sure enough, Mr Hawk was circling over the back neighbours front yard. That was Sunday and I have not seen him since but vigilance has been ramped up since then.

Losing gals to illness is bad enough but having one taken by a predator is my worse nightmare. I cannot imagine seeing one of my gals badly injured or worse
