Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Good morning everyone. Very eggscited 2 australorp chicks hatched just now waiting on 4 more. Sorry I'm just excited, don't get excited feedback from my family. Haha
Except my granddaughters but there not here today to enjoy and get excited with me.
I have been trying to integrate my 7 week old australorp with my 4 weeks old australorps and silkies. I put a screen door between them and every time the little ones get near the big one its pecks them through the screen. I'm worried about putting them in together. My husband is building an extension to our coop to put them all in. Thanks

Phew! Thought we had lost our pet bunny. Went to put some frozen water bottles in with him because it's a stinker here today and the cage was empty! We let him into a little covered area of a day sometimes so he must have escaped that yesterday and nobody realised and locked his cage up empty. Searched everywhere but no luck then just leaving to pick the kids up and spotted him under a bush in the front garden!

Saved from having to break the news he was gone!

Is there a thread on the forum for support when you are starting to look at cute little Belgian D'Uccles available for sale? I need a sponsor or someone to talk me down.... LOL

This is Honey on the day we brought her home. How quiet is that?

My two POL. I paid $10 each

From the same breeder. $2.50 each - the one in the back is the cross.

How could I leave them behind? I could have been strong.

The purebred is growing into a more beautiful girl than the POL's. I must take more pics.

Thank goodness. Nothing worse than having to brake that kind of news to kids.

Congrats - looking forward to the update.

There's bound to be some pecking. You could put them together after they go to bed. They seem to accept each other better after waking up together.

Gosh you got those belgians at bargain prices. I'd be heading back for more.

Sorry, I'm doing all my picture posting from an external device while I'm on a PC. (Normally on the phone or iPad)

Remember the black and white evil birds discussion? It turns out I have 3 black and white crows in one family group. Or should I say "had"?

Two are juvenile and one is a parent.

Here's a photo of a couple of them getting fed by the all black parent.

In this pic one looks mangy. A few weeks later I found it and it couldn't fly. It could still hop away from me though. I haven't seen any of them since.

I am thinking you might want one.

Easy to see why I came home with more than I intended. She was demolishing her coops and rebuilding them on a different part of the block so she had to reduce numbers. I do still have her number and will be looking out for her adds.

She also had a Sicilian Buttercup - on my wish list too. She only had the one though so wasn't breeding.

Fancy you got me going I just bought some big timber crates (like your apples boxes) from Gumtree to do some "projects" with. Great idea for coops. Thanks for the idea.
