Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Thank you Satay
Susan she does look better, I hope she keeps improving. Its great that her friends keeping her company, they are funny things you don't expect them to do that.

Its been raining all night and the silly silkies are still not going into their house. I have opened up under their coop so now they can get in there.

Oh those naughty silkies...I suppose they very dirty. I love they have a mind of their own... I am sure as it gets colder they will get into the coop themselves

Day 5 Madge’s wattle after bathing everyday with salt and boiled water ... much better I think ... the wattle is still very much curled up but perhaps wattles are like ears she may have a ‘cauliflower’ wattle

Susan Hampshire I hope Madge's wattle is still improving. My silkies are still clean and dry though I don't know how. They were going under the tarp and under the eaves on their coop. Silly birds, now I have opened up under their raised coop they go there. Their coop is so nice and cozy and dry and yet they only go in occasionally.

Funny little things they seem to have a mind of their own. Madge’is wattle is improving every day. I’ve put her back with her flock after a week searated and she is back to bossing all the other chickens. I’ll watch carefully today to make sure she is not pecked but I doubt it. I’ll also stop batheing her wattle with salt water as it almost gone. Phew one less job

She’s doing well no googies! Her wattle is still bubbly but the fowl pox sore has gone... weather is very mild at the moment but has been getting colder in the late afternoon and early mornings... my chookies have be going to nest boxes (alas not to lay) when it gets cold but come out when they hear me getting the scratch... Murphy’s law with the watering... always happens to me when I wash the car!

Susan How's Madge's wattle I hope its all cleared up now. We are finally getting some colder weather we even got some rain today, after I watered my fruit trees before going to work.
It always happens that way doesn't it. I watered all my potted plants yesterday afternoon after i got home from a nursery sale i went to with friends. It rain 30 mins later.
