Still here Ducky.Not a fan of the new site but hey it's here to stay so I"ll get over it lol. Well the heat is finally a little better After a week of over 40c. I am lucky though didn't loose a single animal to the heat. Heard one of the breeders in the next town over lost 60 chickens. He has show chickens and his eggs to buy are sooooo expensive so I am sure that is going to be a big blow to him.

I am warming to it now that I have changed some of my settings. I have removed the advertising and widened the page. Its a bit to get used to- but really only the same as when I joined up in the first place learning where everything was.


Gosh loosing 60 birds- He must have had plenty more that survived- but still thats an incredible number to loose.

I sold both the other cars today!! It was a little funny- had 2 phone calls at work- both guys turned up within 20 minutes of each other and each bought one of the cars! back to a one car household again. Just as well too- I noticed a for sale sign on the house next door today. Im sure they will get much better offers for there house if next door doesnt look like a used car lot.

Congrats Ducky! It's funny though, I was just telling a friend who's looking for somehting to run about in that I have a friend selling a car and I was going to ask you what yours was. Guess I'll just let her know it's gone. It's awful for the breeder that lost 60 birds. That would be most/all of my flock. Were they one of the fluffy breeds? I know some of my breeds cope better with the heat than others. I've changed a bunch of settings too Ducky. Would you guys belive a few min ago I was looking everywhere for the search button? Wanna guess who felt like an idiot when they finally spotted it? Got to laugh though, there are things I like here as well as those I don't but I'm hoping I'll be able to change more of the things I don't like when I work out how.

Phewww! I think I have finally gotten the hang of this new BYC world too!

The new site was a tonne slower than it used to be when I was using Internet explorer.. but hey, change can be a good thing so I reluctantly changed from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome and *WooSh* it is now as fast as ever. I recommend Google chrome... It's simple to use and even my facebook is running faster now!

I would like to get rid of the strip with reviews and things from the RHS of the screen... but I'm going fast now... lol.. so I'll work that out another day!

Great to see that you sold both cars ducky! I'm sure your neighbours are happy that the used car lot has relocated

I popped my first eggs into the incubator on Wednesday night!

. Hopefully I have some success! I have 10 Guinea fowl eggs in and 7 duck eggs. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I'm a pessimist and I don't have high hopes!

Hey Chookn, I keep hearing about Google Chrome but I do love my Fire Fox. There is a thread running about the stuff on the RHS and someone put up the info how to block it on Chrome, I read it yesterday but of course I wasn't paying attention. Good luck with those eggies!

Hi.I have just joined this site. I live south of Adelaide.I am currently building a chicken coop and run for 4 chooks.I bought the coop from Bunnings,a metal one,and I am just about finished.Hopefully there will be some chooks in their new home next week.
