Sounds like a well organised show you went to, Ducky! (NOT!) Glad you have more ribbons to add to your collection - hoping to have a couple myself this coming weekend,taking my little reserve champ and her rooster, she has broken a wing feather and it is hanging off, don't know what to do with it,scared to pull or cut in case it looks unbalanced.

LOVED the underwater duck photos,very.very cute and good. Do you have an underwater camera? Hubby tried to make mine into one once,but it didn't work!!! (at all, ever again)

After seeing that photo...I want to buy one wooklet. Gee... I would even buy a pool and jump in it with them.. ( in summer though - not right now ) to be able to get some good shots.
Good luck this weekend wooklet. I wont do another show now until the 10th of July. Then I have a string of them one weekend after the other- some weekends will include a show one day auction the next- or two shows maybe if I feel up to the challenge of that. I dont know how people travel all over the country showing. I like to stay closer to home- it means I will only do about 6-7 this year- but I cant justify the expense if it includes overnight stay in a motel or such. There was a guy from Toowoomba there yesterday- and at least one other from QLD. A few from Tassie- I couldnt expect my birds to be happy in a cage after travelling that kind of distance. I guess by the time a breeders retires from work...they have time to travel and show- but for now with a full time job - a teenaged daughter and the block of land as well - I have to balance out time with each.

Wow, some people are dedicated with their showing aren't they to come all the way from Toowoomba. It's a long weekend here too though it hasn't been a very pleasn't one it's been raining and freezing cold. I am not a fan of winter at the best of times but these temps are horrid.

Hello, Aussies! How are y'all?

Whiteflare. Well... After a four day weekend.. ( i had Friday off work as well ) I am so wound up after a day trying to madly catch up again at work..now i cant sleep.

I know if I go to bed now- I will just lie there and watch the ducklings.. So I will stay up a little later, maybe read a book for a while.. having a long weekend is nice...but it would be nicer if someone from another state came over and did my work for the day yesterday..

I love weekends.

They allow me to get up at my natural time of 8:30AM! Although I'm usually groaning around by the morning after.

And spend the day absolutely out of it. I know exactly how you feel, even if it's just school I have to go to.
