Does this angle make it look smaller ?

One of mine had a bigger comb than it's sister and it still turned out to be a hen. I was worried for a bit. The different angle looks like a pullet to me.

Thank you! I contacted the breeder and she showed me that all her ba pullets have about this big Comb and they all are in orange , white pinkish color under different lighting. She told me the cockerels show bright red comb and wattles already at this age.

I agree that it might be a pullet. I had an accidental Australorp roo last year. I just went and double checked my pictures. His comb was VERY red by 6 weeks. He had the start of his wattles at 6 weeks, too. I'd say if it isn't bright red by next week you're probably safe. 😄

thanks. it is 6 weeks + now, and no red comb or wattle.

I have 3 (5-6 week) BA chicks- this one has the most developed comb and wattles - they look pinker in person than the picture shows- I suspect it is a cockerel, but only time will tell. We bought nine chicks total to start our flock tending adventure and will be fine as long as only one is a cockerel 🤞
