Hello folks. I have two black birds that were supposed to be Australorps but as time goes on they just don't seem to be. Here are some photos. Maybe someone can help out with ID and perhaps ease my mind in that they are pullets with large combs...no crowing as of yet, no eggs from them either. They are about 5 months old and a bit flighty.

So slim as compared to my other round ladies.

What do you think?

The more photos I look at I think they are Minorcas. Do you have experience with Minorcas?
The feathersite says that the utility strains are excellent layers. That would be nice.

Yes, I've had Minorcas - they are great egg layers - large white eggs. They have a good feed to production ratio - so they don't eat as much as the heavier breeds but produce as much or more than many heavier layers. In my experience, they are somewhat flighty and not broody. I think you'll be pleased with yours!
