Australorp Rooster?

I got 5 Australorps and 5 Buff Orpintons from Ideal. Today, they're 5 weeks old. One of the Australorps seems to be developing a comb much more quickly than "her" sisters. I'm starting to suspect this one might end up in the deep freeze instead of laying eggs. What say you?

At 5 weeks it looks like you are in the unlucky 5-10% of "oops" roosters in the pullet bin.

my BA's at 15 weeks dont even have a comb/wattles that size or that red! cute boy though

I just thought I'd post a reply so any and all know how it turned out. This bird was most definitely a rooster. We named him Randy. A few weeks after he started crowing, he found himself on the business end of a Crock-Pot. Randy was delicious.
