yep! White Crested Black Polish. He is most proud of his Australorps. They have won Best of Breed at a few shows.

That's alright Aveca, I thought I was having flash backs again!!! I am going to try and show their progression every two weeks if I can remember. I thought it might help to document their growth for others interested in my favorite breed, BA's!!! These 5 are Stan's line, and will not be for sale. I am getting out of SLW's and will start a second line of BA's or a second separate flock, which ever you want to call it. I still have my Duane Urch Line of BA's.

Supposedly a ranch store had Australorps, but when I got there, there weren't any! Now I have to wait till April 25th unless another store gets them.

Hi Kurt,
great idea to document their growth. I'm pretty sure that your little flock contains some cockerels and some pullets, by law of averages. I can't even pick my own chicks' gender at this age and none of the 'theories' worked for me!

OK, I had guessed the one on the left is a cockerel, which other one?

I had originally not even thought of BA's but after reading here a while I couldn't help myself.

I'm quite happy with the productivity of my 2 Ideal Poultry BAs. One lays a mid-range Medium egg (avg 4.4/week), the other always the top end of Large (5.8/week) with the occasional triple Jumbo (88g) which bumps her average to just over the XLarge line.

Made reading the posts I was behind a little faster

You could edit the duplicates and delete the text until the Mod comes it not clean up.

I'd like an editor that knows we are properly spelling our chicken breeds
