Australorps breed Thread

I saw that section had been opened, there was a good introduction in the Coronation Sussex thread. I am not a breeder, but I do like to see pics and read about the SOP. I think having the distinction between breed chat and critique is important.

Backyard owners can easily be offended by honest critique, and having a pool of SOP knowledge is important to grow exhibition stock. A place for both without confusion.

Thanks for the pics, but it's really hard to tell. Pics are too 'far away' to really say. They are adorable, though!!

BABY PICS!
My little Cackle Hatchery girls @ 12 days old today.





They are a bit freaked in the pics because I had just switched them
paper towels to woodchips and they hadn't yet decided what to
make of it.

Around 3 weeks, just started developing a comb. Our other BA doesnt have anything really showing yet.

It is hard to tell Gender at three weeks by comb and wattles. I do not see wattles but would not expect to yet.

Does the chick have bigger legs than the others?
