Australorps breed Thread

Big Mama telling me about it... I put a real egg in the nest bowl to cajole her, so she rolled it out of "my nest" and promptly made her own.

Oh. Well, excuse me, Your Lady Highness.

Well I have been away for a while and it took me a long time to catch up. Are we really discussing chicken harnesses and walking chickens on a leash? Have I stumbled into an alternate reality Australorp Breed Thread. I know, keep your mouth shut, and to each his or her own. Maybe we need a chicken trick thread, I'm sorry Goodbye!

I missed that bit lol I should I guess not mention my kids were trying to train the chickens to chase a ball the other day then :). Bit of a fail I must admit lol

I just read the bits that interest me and skim the bits that don't. Rather than say goodbye, skim those bits that do nothing for you then get everyone back on track with some posts that relate to the breed again. I'm about to be a new australorp owner in a week so would love to see some breed specific discussions happening :)

Look at that beautiful shine... I love that about this breed!

I see a Roo Tail forming

Are you certain, GC? I'm young by most standards and not any sort of expert but those saddle feathers look a bit rounded to me. But as usual, I'm likely wrong.

Oh...when I had Australorps, the pullets usually had long tail feathers for quite a while and they gradually molted out but again...
