Australorps breed Thread

When my son dispersed our Australorps last year, I kept several of what I considered the best of the lot and now have restored a goodly number of them to the flock. I may have to come back to this thread to help get things livened up a bit.

I see my younger son made remarks that some might consider disparaging of the breed but that's his opinion, it has never been mine.

Hello Ron! I've been reading through the Production thread from the beginning and have found many of your posts there to be both information and entertaining. There's no doubt in my mind that you could liven up this thread as well. Welcome! I look forward to your witty, educational perspective.

I'd like to get more in the future... they're one of my favourite breeds!

I bought 4 chicks recently (sold as vent sexed) 3 of them died from different things and the last one turned out to be a rooster... so I haven't had much luck with Australorps lately. But I'll definitely get more of them in the future!

Glad to see you back here ! And I'm very happy to hear you kept some of your best birds. They are very nice looking birds and I like their size. Will you be offering eggs in the spring ??
