Australorps breed Thread

I don't thiink it will make him look ugly. He is too handsome for that. After a while you probably won't even notice it. Don't feel bad. It happens to the best of us. My Delaware had the same thing happen to him but the New Hampshire that was in the same coop but a different side did not have any problems. My BA isn't in an insulated coop and he did not even get as bad as the Delaware.

i have collected a few different bloodlines from around the place
western australia queensland and victorian lines

can't wait for this coming breeding season
ill have some lovely lorps available around august
and i will also have fertile eggs available in the peak of the breeding season available for postage

i have just found this group and was wondering if you ladies or gents can tell me if this rooster I have is an Australorp or not. I have looked at the Marans too and to me they look like them too LOL
sooo confused. They were given to us from a lady who dropped them off at our Horse Rescue along with her horse this winter.


I know the little one in there is not one of she is a Banty of that breed.

I was told if you put vasaline on their combs in the winter that it will help protect them. I have a few that got frost bite last year but they are fine and did not effect them at all.

So going to try the vasaline trick this winter
