He looks like he has grey legs ...does he have red skin under his neck feathers ?

I just check him, he has a whiteish pinkish skin under his neck feathers. That's what I could see with holding a flash light in the dark.

yes ...she might grow more ...I think Favorettes are a smaller chicken than average
my pepper and the 2 other australorps are much larger than the others. I have a araucana x rooster and an indian game rooster and they are much larger. Gorgeous big ladies with giant petticoats that sway when they run lol

Maddog,
There is no scale in the pics to judge the size, however their conformation, and coloring is awesome! My aussies are quite large too at 20 weeks, but they are not fully grown or mature until they are one year old. The only way to tell is to weigh them. Again, beautiful chooks you have there.
Kurt

Thank you :) I'm not overly familiar with the Aussie standard, so I'm happy to hear that their conformation is good!

How much would you expect a 21 week old Standard Australorp to weigh?

No Aussie roo, just 2 hens, they live with 2 buff orpingtons, 2 barred rock, a black sexlink, and I'm not sure what the other 7 are, the 2 Aussies were in a bin that said barred rocks and buff orpingtons, was shocked when I found out they were Aussies, I look forward to seeing the green sheen come out. They are a lot more shy than the others, everyone was handled a lot as young chicks. The others love to come sit on my lap and het attention, but these 2 girls just kinda keep to themselves

Got some quick photos on my phone of my Australorps compared to my hand... they're terrible photos because it was pitch black and i couldn't see what I was doing at all, lol. The palm of my hand is 8cm across if that helps at all.

This first one is the smallest of the whole lot, its hard to see her properly but its the best I've got unfortunately :/

I looked up the Australian standard for Australorps and found the ideal weights for standards and bantams... based on that I would think mine are standards... but I still wouldn't mind actually weighing them.

I'll take a hand photo tomorrow with pepper, she's only a few weeks older.

Maddog,
Depending who you talk to or what standard you refer to you will get different weights. I can tell you this for sure. If the chooks weight is over 2 lbs. or .9 kg it is a stardard bred not a bantam at 21 weeks. The American SOP from the APA has weights for cocks at 8 lbs and hens 6 lbs. (standard) and like 7 lbs for cockerels and 5 lbs for pullets. The bantams at 30 oz. which is less than 2 lbs. Don't ask me about kgs. LOL
