Australorps breed Thread

I got them the 11 of February so I'm not real sure on age. They came from tsc
If it was a pullet bin, you still may be ok. BAs are 80% correct for gender so there are often Cockerels in with the pullets.

You should know in several weeks. Do you have others to compare with?

Keep posting weekly pictures! Very nice looking BA

Oh they was straight run also

Bound to be a boy in there then ..
Can you give us another picture so we can see his ? comb & wattle ? Tail is a bit Rooish also
This was our baby roo at 2 -3 weeks old ..a broom tail Not a Australorp of course .
He died as a youngster protecting his flock .
We ended up getting Lucky our BA to replace him

Luluann,
That chick is only 4 or 5 weeks old IMO. The pics I posted are exactly 6 weeks old and the comb and waddles are noticeable for sure.
Take some side shots of a few of them in a couple of weeks and you will have a better guess.

Im sitting here thinking I got 4 roos not sure why but that's what I think. I really hope not because ill have to buy more

Send us a pic of all of them ..We like to play the Is it a Roo or Not Game .
We should be playing it ourselves in April ?

Rattlesnake Ridge - is your roo really that tame that he sets on your lap ?
We did not raise our Roo so he is not very tame ..He is getting better ..

Gramma,
The roo in the video is "Dundee" he was snake bite in September and is no longer with us. I do have his son "Mick" that I use in my Duane Urch line of BA's. I never trained Mick to sit on my lap since his father died, it just ain't the same!

Luluann,
Post some more pics, we love guessing.
