The chicks : are the light ones the blues , The grey & white the splashes , ?

I incubate. The blacks are black, the greys are the blues, and the white are the splashes.

While we are on the subject of pests like worms and mites I made an interesting observation the last couple of days. Chickens may have something going on because they discovered the sand around my septic system and dug in and had a nice sand bath for themselves. Guessing by their happy behavior it appeared to be giving them more than just a cool fun relaxing playful time but might have been helping them to rid themselves of some pests perhaps?

Good to know that they like sand and fine dusty silty dirt.

Rattlesnake Ridge BBS Australorps have arrived, pics as promised will follow. 13 blacks, eight are gone already. 5 blues, and 4 splashes. They are 3 days old. This is my second generation thanks to Chet at Hupp Farm, AZ. I have 2 pens set up to breed blues and 1 pen for pure blacks. Born 3-7-14

Dang!! ......... I might just have to get me some of those!! :....
