As noted...the hens neither know nor care what I say or how I day it, so long as they are treated like feathered royalty. It's my guess that they are fed and cared for...as well as any and better than most.

I will certainly be 'classy' around all women and children and most men...but my livestock love me....JUST THE WAY I AM.

My Australorp from Cackle is about 8 weeks old, she's got one crooked toe on each foot and she's dumb as a stump (even by chicken standards) but she's a very big, heavy girl and growing like a weed. Nothing so far points to being undersized but she is still very young. She's very placid and sweet. She's been very nice to the new chicks I've recently introduced.

One of my Cackle australorps was a good size. I think you could get them up in size with a breeding program.

if she is at the bottom of the pecking order ...she could look that way ...as she has to wait her turn ..& wouldnt be 1st to do anything
thats what makes nice variety ...
Not one to breed.. but she would be alright as a broody / chick mama or a egg layer .
