Australorps breed Thread

I have 28 Ba , 4 austra whites and six shiver sebrights . Oh and one RIR x Ba
I just don't know what to do with all the Roos . Guess I won't be buying any chicken for awhile .
Dinner :)
Thanks for taking the time to look and confirm my suspicions
:) .

Blue? I was told it was Austra White? I would love a blue one !
So , here are some better shots of the brood . I promise to be more selective in posting photos in the future.:) promise. I got so many to do straight run from the farm we got them . Also too cover any dying . Haven't lost a one . These are healthy , vigorous, and full of life. No complaints , guess I'm just rooster anxious! Have a great day folks:)

Slim,
At 4 weeks every bird you see that has a pink comb and a little sliver of a pink wattle is definitely a cockerel. A pullet may have a little bit of a comb, but at that age four weeks it will look yellow, or very pale, and no wattles showing. I hope this helps, and that is my best advise for figuring out who is who if you wanted to separate or cut your loses.

I did not know they came in any color other than black! That's cool.
My little ones are 18 days old. One has a pink comb started. I guess I can assume that one is a he lol.

Kurt,
Thanks for looking and the info.
Now upon further assessment, I have some with large pink combs and wattles. Then there are those that have a large comb, no wattles and smaller in stature.
some I have no doubt are boys. They just ooze cocky and they look the part.
Im gonna keep a close eye on the ones with no wattles.
My Austra Whites have a greenish slate colored leg. They seem to be all Hens.
Time will defiantly tell. THanks again

Sorry that one looked Grey / blue ...
Watch for big Legs too...Roos legs develop a lot larger
