Australorps breed Thread

The woman told me she hatched March 2015 and that she had just hatched. She got them from a pet store and was told it was a bantam. I have to take her word for it. I dont much care Im just more worried as to why her comb is so dark. She could be any breed but looked to me to be an Australorp. I guess Game bird fits her look too as far as body shape goes.
From the pictures you show that might explain the dark comb and wattles. Do game birds lay white eggs? This woman claims her little girl lays small white eggs. She has not laid any yet here at my place.

A closer look at your post and I see where you say your girls lay white eggs. That must be it then. I have a little game/ Sumatra. Thank you for taking the time to help me try to get an answer to my question about possible breed of this little girl and also help put to rest any concerns I have about her dark comb. The previous owner says the little girl loves to brood her eggs. Since she never had a rooster she never actually hatched any babies. Do you know of the brooding tendencies for this breed?

I have 16 Australorps and 4 of them lay white eggs and the others lay brown eggs. I have 4 of them that still have little combs and waddles. I'm wondering why they haven't grown like the others? I don't think they have even laid an egg. They're a year and 4 months old. Have any of you had this problem? I'm guessing that they'll never lay an egg.

Do you notice these 2 dont match ? She must have mis- spoke ...and meant 2016..
This is a good broody breed as they are more close to a real bird ...they do go broody
TiTi has been Broody 3 times this year ..2 times last year .
she currently has a chick ...I dont give them tons of eggs ...I dont want a zillion chickens
Her daughter is setting on a couple now too - her 2nd time being broody this year

Not all black chickens ...are Australorps
Could they be hiding eggs somewhere ?

I'll try and take some pictures of them tomorrow. There is no way they are hiding any eggs. I've kept them all in just so I could watch. They are all Australorps, I bought them all the same time. 4 of them lay white eggs. They are the ones I adopted and they were all naked. It has been several months and today I could see pin features growing on their backs... I'm so proud of them, they had a tough life.

They may be varying degrees of pure australorp though. If they've had something else mixed into the bloodline at some point that could effect the egg colour. My Australorps don't lay a particularly brown egg but then I've got an Australian bloodline.

The woman who gave me the little black girl, Mr. Peeps as she was named, came to visit. When I mentioned the word Sultan, she exclaimed, yes that is it, sounds familiar. Im guessing that is the answer. Regarding what I wrote, Im certain the woman got her "just hatched" chicks to raise in 2015. I was not clear in my post; I am at fault for mismatch.
