Australorps breed Thread

I have one roo that I found as a baby. Popular opinion on this site was that he is as least part Australorp. Also, I have one chick that sort of looks like she is his baby...very different from all the others. I'd love more opinions from Australorp experts!

Thank you. Yes the poof on some of the babies has puzzled me. It doesnt show up all the time but the main dad roo had it when he was young.

I have 1 in my current (my first!) flock. She was hatched 3/15/10. Here's Opal at 2 days:

ok my eight year old is rising chicks this year for 4H and we have a chick that we are not sure about! Most people on here say that it is a Australorp! Wanting to know what you think!
