Does anyone know a 'good' place to get Back Australorp Pullet Chics in Northeastern PA ?

My kids and I would like to get 12-25 chics this spring [March] but would like to save the chics the stress of shipping.

If we can find them roughly within one hours drive of Mountaintop, PA then we'll pick them up.

Thanks,

I live right over the border from northeast Pa. in waverly NY . between binghamton and Elmira where are you?

And thanks on bennie, he came from the whitneys , they have been showing australorps for along long time and are east coast champions, he almost showed bennie last year but pulled him for me..I really like bennie a lot..cant ait to see what they produce next year.

I live in Moutaintop, PA - which is just south of Wilkes Barre.

But my folks live just down the road from you in Nichols, NY . . . which is nice because I could also visit them.

When would you have chic's ?

We were thinking March.

You know I might be able to do some.. I have quite a few eggs going across US and only a few hens in breeding shed..plus just a few in my bator..its going to be a busy time for three hens, not a lot of eggs with just three....but most of ours are high yeild egg layers and just a few show birds.. so really hoping to increase enough to be able to sell some next year...we are really just getting set up to collect a few really good birds and shut it down and work inside that flock, trying to collect the foundation.

Im really hoping to be able to sell a few next year.
