And here they are around 40 weeks old. The BJG male is center of the top roost, sitting and the largest. The female is on the right side of the lower roost, also large. For comparison, we have 4 Black Australorps - The cockerel standing and facing the camera on the top rung, and then 3 females (from left on top rung #1, 4, 7). The BA cockerel is smaller than the BJG male in both height and width, but the BA is the cockerel in charge.

@FnWeirdo, Here is a thread when my chicks were new and little -all feet pics! Both BA and BJG. Scroll down to a later post for my attempt at clearer pictures with a white background. Even when young, there are some differences.

Will try to get foot pics of them at this age, but will need my assistant (a moody tween) to help....but can always try the "Santa is watching you" route and maybe after an eye roll I might get some assistance... wish me luck!
