Hi there! This is our first time incubating. We have 24 Welsh Harlequin duck eggs in an Incuview. With our busy lives we are using the auto turner. We do have X’s and O’s on each side. I notice they never fully turn onto the X side only going side to side. It seems that they are rolling enough to cover the egg (8X day) but I am wondering if I should turn them completely over by hand once every day or two to make sure they are getting enough turn?? Any help is greatly appreciate!

What do you mean side to side? Like back and forth without flipping at all?

It doesn't seem like much but I think your fine. My incubator just rolls them like a third of the way over every few hours. And thats plenty. Remember half the turning from a hen is just her body movement. They don't really get all the way flipped over every few hours.

Hope this helps! Good luck with hatching!!!! :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy

Is this the one you have?

Looks like that one rolls the eggs about halfway around, then rolls them back. Its always moving so I'd say that is good enough. The point is, you don't want the embryo to stick to the side which can happen if the egg just lays in the same spot.
