auto waterer with chicken nipples?

Ok, I understand how it shuts off, but a normal toilet float doesn't auto come with a connector that fits a garden hose..does it?

no, you would have to buy some various plumbing adapters to make it work. If I was going to do it, i would just take the float with me to the hardware store and find the pieces to make it work or run a new water line, put the turn off valve on it like the one by the toilet and get the hose that runs from the valve to the toilet float. Really any way you could find to make it work without leaking would be fine.
