Automatic door recommendation

I have one from Hentronix in the UK. My coop door is a sliding one and there aren't many available on the market. i had a host of problems with it for a number of months but it all boiled down to the door snagging onto the bottom rail. I made a new rail with a hollowed-out bottom so that any debris will fall straight through and have had no further problems. The unit also allows provision to have a light fitted inside the coop which automatically lights up in the morning when daylight hours fall below 12. The unit is solar powered however it needs mains back up when the coop light turns on.

Ador has a Battery powered one.

I have two of these, and they are quite dependable. I really like the dawn/dusk operation and runs off a 6-volt lantern battery. I have also needed customer service in the past, and Rod there has been very responsive.

Thanks. Good info to know. I don't have one yet, but Ador is at the top of my list.

The Brinsea costs almost as much as a full kit from Ador (and others) and it's just a timer so you need to buy or build a door.
